I am proud to say that I have known the lead singer of the Royalettes, Sheila (Ross) Burnett, all my life. This is history. This is awesome!
The Royalettes (also credited as Sheila Ross and her Royalettes) were a girl group of the 1960s from Baltimore, Maryland. They were originally signed with Chancellor Records and later Warner Bros. Records, but had their biggest hits under MGM. They were associated with producers Teddy Randazzo of Little Anthony & The Imperials and Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers. They were a quartet that exemplified the "sweet soul" style of the early 60s girl-groups. - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
