For some of us, watching Sportscenter around this time of year can be especially trying due to the basketball coverage being relegated to contract negotiation and off-court mishaps, but that same destitution means little things like Kevin Durant with parts shaved in his head and Kinte Cloth pants do that much more to inflame our basketball jones. Make no mistake about it, this is a commercial. But it’s a commercial where NBA players ride bikes, cook shoes on a grill, lay down tracks in the studio, jump in pools fully clothed, eat fried chicken, give people ice cream, dunk on punks, ride ATV’s, tattoo people, or do pretty much everything we’ve wanted to do this whole wash of a summer. Fresh off the incredible BlaQKout album with Kurupt, DJ Quik seems to have had more than enough G-funk (and rhymes) left over to carry some cotton-mouthed ballers. We could, however, be convinced to check out what he and Rashard Lewis could do with more time together, considering Lewis will soon be looking to fill up extra time off. [Via: the Fader]
